About Pastor Yaw and First Lady Portia Osei-Owusu:
Meet the Osei-Owusu’s!
Pastor Yaw was born and raised in the United Kingdom and moved to the United States as a young adult on fire for God. Following a God-ordained direction, his ministry began in 2009 with the start of “True Worshippers”, a ministry whose goal was to empower young people to fulfill their God-given purpose. Lady Portia was born and raised in California and served in the church from a very young age, successfully juggling not only her ministry but her career as a seasoned professional and later her calling as a wife and mother.
In 2013, while serving ardently in the Church of Pentecost, Pastor Yaw and Lady Portia met and what started as a friendly Facebook message quickly blossomed into a friendship then a marriage in 2020. Pastor Yaw and Lady Portia currently live in Frederick, Maryland, USA with their two beautiful children, Ezekiel and Eliana, and one on the way. As a family, they embody a life of faith and live out the words of Philippians 4:13 that says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Passionate about seeing young people dedicated to Jesus Christ, Pastor Yaw and Lady Portia, along with several others, launched Capital City Church – COP in Washington, DC where they currently serve as lead Pastor and Lady. They are now launching a new branch in Frederick, Maryland and are expectant for God to do wonderful things in the lives of the people of Frederick.
